How can i stick some numbers and letters on a shirt?

im going to my boyfriends championship game tomorrow and i want to look supportive. i wanted to put his number on the shirt and his last name on it. i was going to try iron on letters/numbers. but that might be too complicated. any other ideas of how i can get the letters/numbers on the shirt? How can i stick some numbers and letters on a shirt?
Sharpie pens are a cheap route and they always work great, just make sure you've got something underneath the Tshirt so that the ink doesn't bleed through and stain. Also make sure you put something (cardboard-any kind works well) INSIDE the T so that the backside isn't stained

Another option is to visit the local Michael's and buy some iron-on patches and decals, they usually have letters and numbers patches you could buy.

Other options:

Stamping with fabric paint

Painting with fabric paint

Bedazzling (lol)

Buying Tshirt screen iron-on printer paper at Staples or office supply store, printing out an image and ironing it on the T. But be careful with this and only apply VERY little heat as these have the tendency to burn and discolor easily.

Good luck! How can i stick some numbers and letters on a shirt?
You could always use fabric paint. (:

But the iron-on last much longer, and if you have bad handwriting, they look better too.
