How Do I Find The Middle Number Of A String Of Numbers?

%26lt;Any mathematicians out there!%26gt;

For instance, if I have a bunch of numbers ranging from 6 to 45, is there some kind of formula or law that can be applied to give me the middle number.

Thanks.How Do I Find The Middle Number Of A String Of Numbers?
yeah sure:

you add all the numbers and divide them by the amount of numbers:

Say you have 5 numbers ( 6,8,20,24,35) the middle number is:

(6+8+20+24+35)/5

:DHow Do I Find The Middle Number Of A String Of Numbers?
there are totally 40 no both inclusive of 6 and 45 so the total no is even .. and so we have 2 middle no which is the (n/2 and n/2+1 ) terms which is the 20th and the 21st term .. thats is 26 and 27 are the middle nos. is we have total no to be odd (like 39 or soo) we apply the formula(n/2) in which case we have only one middle no... n here represents the total nos presents inclusive of both the first and the last no
are you referring to the median?

if so, you would put all of the numbers in chronological order

(7, 23, 26, 31, 45)

the middle one would obviously be 26, since it's in the middle of the line.
look up 'median',then look up 'mode',then look up 'mean' (every time I see that word it brings to mind a woman I once knew . .called Jean . .)
